 Public institution for nature conservation management on the territory of the Municipality of Rakovica was established under provisions of the Law on nature preservation. Its establishment was initiated by the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Rakovica with the purpose of protecting, maintaining, preserving, promoting and utilizing protected natural values on the territory of the Municipality of Rakovica.
It was registered at the Commercial Court in Karlovac as a non-profit organization owned by its founders.
Activities of the institution have been regulated by law, the decision on establishing a public institution, By-laws of the institution and other regulations passed by the Institution in accordance with law.
The Institution is governed by the Board in accordance with law. According to the decision of the Board the Institution is run by the manager coordinating his work within the frame of nature conservation on the territory of the Municipality of Rakovica with the Municipal representatives
